IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please note that according to Law 42/2010, December 30, smoking is prohibited within the hotel and only permitted outside the building. Failure to comply with this law could lead to penalization with additional cleaning costs.

 The hotel consists of two buildings, the historic building called Laguna, where you will find the reception, catering services and the meeting rooms in addition to the superior rooms and suites. The Nivaria building, of more recent construction, is where the standard and Family rooms can be found. From this building there is direct access to the private parking of the hotel, gym and the Laguna Nivaria Spa.

All rooms are spacious with wooden-framed windows and parquet floors. They include cable TV, high-speed wired Internet or Wi-fi, ceiling fan, air conditioning or heating (depending on season), safe, dining area and hydromassage battub.

In addition, small pets are allowed, up to 9 kilos. Please remember, they are not allowed in the food and beverages areas, gym or spa.

The Laguna Nivaria Hotel is committed to sustainable tourism, to minimize the environmental impact with maximum use of natural light and responsible use of products that do not harm our environment. In our restaurant organic fruits and vegetables, as well as lamb and back canarian pig come from our own farm «La Vizcaina», which also works to preserve the native Canarian vegetation.

The hotel has recycling programs, optimized facilities to improve water conservation and energy, our own laundry with organic products, bedding and towels, plus a biomass boiler that allows us to reduce CO2 emissions 40 tons per year.

We place special emphasis on the importance of the quality of food served in our restaurants Plaza and Laguna. Our products from our own farm “La Vizcaína” located in Valle de Guerra in the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, have the Organic Production of Canary Island certificate.

 

BREAKFAST – 7am to 10:30am from Monday to Sunday
The buffet breakfast is served in the «Plaza» restaurant. If you wish to order breakfast to your room, this service will incur a surcharge of 5€ per person per day (this service is available from 8am to 10:30am).

 

LUNCHES – 1pm to 4pm Monday to Sundays

DINNER – 7pm to 9h30pm Sundays to Wednesdays and 7pm to 10h30pm Thrusdays to Saturdays
Our «Laguna» Restaurant offers delicious “a la carte’ dishes and our “Plaza” Restaurant offers our daily menu (available only at lunch or evening hours for guests on half board).

LAGUNA NIVARIA SPA- 10am to 9pm
The Laguna Nivaria Spa, inspired by the essence of La Laguna, blends the flavors, textures and faded colors to create a sea of sensations for health, beauty and wellness within a very attractive atmosphere.

You will find a swimming pool with water springs, Jacuzzi, biothermal and Scottish showers, relaxation area, individual Turkish bath and Finnish saunas for men and women, a fully equipped gym (free for guests staying at the hotel), a massage cabin for health and aesthetics, a double cabin where couples can enjoy a massage and treatments, outdoor terrace, shop and the availability of a personal trainer.

 

GYM – 7am to 10pm; Sundays from 8am 

We also offer a free beach towel service. Use of them should be requested at the hotel reception.

MEETINGS & EVENTS
The hotel has different rooms for meetings and banquets for up to 120 people. To request information on menus for banquets, meeting rooms, coffee breaks, lunches, cocktails, etc., please ask at reception or email: eventos@lagunanivaria.com

LAUNDRY
To make use of this service please place items that need washing or ironing in the special bag, found in the closet along with the form that must be fully completed and signed.

We collect the bags from 9am to 2pm Monday to Friday and will return your clothes within 48 hours.

OUR ISLANDS WATER IS A SCARCE RESOURCE, HELP US TO NOT WASTE IT

If you wish to change the towels, place them in the bathtub.

Rooms are cleaned from 9am until 4pm, if you would like your room cleaned at a specific time or if you have forgotten your razor, toothpaste or other items, contact reception (ext. 22)

 

FIRE
In case of emergency dial «9» and notify reception. Guests who must leave their rooms will be informed. Stay calm and do not use elevators. Evacuate the building following the instructions found in the entrance to your room.

 

INTERNET CONNECTION
We have free internet access in all rooms and public areas. Please contact reception for your password.

The Laguna Nivaria Hotel also has a free Internet connection in the reading room near the reception.

OUR FARM
The ecological farm «La Vizcaína» is located in Valle Guerra, just 15 minutes from San Cristobal de La Laguna. It is in an easily accessible area which has an area of 50,000 m2 of land devoted entirely to organic farming.

When we talk about organic farming we mean an autonomous system that is used to grow produce, the optimal use of natural resources, without using synthetic chemicals or genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or fertilizer to combat pest attacks. Therefore we produce organic food while preserving the fertility of the land and the environment is respected. All this in a sustainable and balanced way.

The ecological farm «La Vizcaína» has been committed to organic farming since 2007. After a few initial years looking for the best farming practices, we have learned the best produce of each season, always in keeping with environmental policies which ensures our products have excellent quality.

Since 2008, we have certification from the Regulatory Council of Ecological Agriculture of the Canary Islands, CRAE, Operator No. 2511P, we follow guidelines for planting and production of products.

Among the crops that we grow are bananas, papayas, parchitas, mangoes, oranges, mameys, avocados, acerola, zucchinis, onions, and seasonal vegetables. Our production is based on crop planning, managed by season.

In addition, we also have lambs, and the local black pigs enjoy a life in which there are no chemicals, artificial lighting or cages. They are outdoors, have adequate facilities for development and an organic diet.

Our goal is to provide our customers with produce of excellent quality which in turn is beneficial to your health, protecting the environment and harmonizing productive activity with the needs of our environment.  This is why our farm products are served directly to your table (with the corresponding health checks) and in no more time than a few hours since it was collected.
